Meridian
Meridian’ is an accomplished work that finds Paul Sills in a contemplative mood, bridging the gap between new age and melodic electronic space music with some style. The use of excellent acoustic guitar adds an organic feel to proceedings. However, it is the quality of the compositions that really carries this album. Strong, haunting themes that stay with you long after the chords have drifted away.
The music is expansive and very thematic, combining synths, occasional vocal textures, atmospheric effects, acoustic instruments and percussion, all underpinned by big sweeping pads and strings.
‘Meridian’ is full of depth and moody emotion that maintains a strong melodic identity throughout. The ten varied tracks exudes a richness and warmth that engulf the listener like a warm blanket, making the music instantly appealing and memorable.

Note to iOS uses
Apple iOS up to and including iOS 8 won’t download zip files in Safari. The easiest way around this is to download the zip files onto a computer and then open the zip and transfer the tracks into iTunes (just drag the folder onto the iTunes icon in the dock). Then sync the iOS device to iTunes in the normal way.

I love all of Paul Sills’ music, Meridian, like White Light, is a slightly different departure in style for Paul, but still recognizable as his unique musical style, at the same time, relaxing, inspiring and uplifting. Paul is a very talented composer, each album different to the last, but always recognizable as his. I love this album and favourite tracks are ‘Storm Dancer’ which is invigorating and exciting, and ‘Luna’ a delicate and mysterious masterpiece. Paul Sills is a real ‘find.’
