Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock & Hans- Werner Faßbender – Heartbeat
AD Music is pleased to present the music of the renown German guitarist/keyboard player Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, on this recording with Hans- Werner Faßbender. Besides his work on projects like ‘Mind Over Matter’, ‘Cosmic Hoffmann’ or ‘Mindala’ Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock has always liked to play spontaneously and create improvisations with many different musical partners.
On the occasion of the opening of an art exhibition with paintings and graphics by the German painter and experimental musician Hans-Werner Faßbender on November 20, 1998 at Moenchengladbach / Germany, Hoffmann-Hoock (Megatron – digital Mellotron) and Faßbender (prepared string instruments, synthesisers) presented their spontaneous musical impressions of the pictures and printings on display to the audience.
On one hand “HEARTBEAT” offers moments of wide, calm spherical pads with a deep flow reminding us of Brian Eno’s ambient music experiments. On the other hand it leads into orchestral soundcollages full of unusual sounds from mechanically prepared or electronically processed string instruments and selected sample material. Both musicians had a lot of fun with the free and relaxed cooperation on “HEARTBEAT” so they hope you enjoy it to.
This is a re-issue of the Ham3 CDr released in 2002.
