E-Scape 2020 cancelled due to Covid-19 Virus.

David Wright | March 18, 2020
It is with regret that due to the current global Covid-19 health crisis we have no alternative other than to cancel E-Scape 2020.

We have discussed the event with all those involved and whilst we deeply regret having to cancel, we do believe it to be the sensible course of action.

The overriding consensus is that there is no point in delaying a decision that we all believe to be inevitable based on the current UK government advice and recommendations.

It gives everyone clarity and as things stand, that has to be for the best.
It would be nice to think that the current crisis will just fizzle out without too much distress, but that now appears unlikely and we may all have far more pressing matters to contend with.
We are unable to ‘postpone’ the event and fix another date for 2020 because we are in uncharted waters. And putting aside whether we can even secure another date at the venue later in the year, we would still be at the mercy of the ‘unknown’.
So, we will obviously issue a full refund for your ticket, please just advise us accordingly by email.
Alternatively, if you so wish we are happy for you to spend your ticket money on CDs and to that end we will give you a special 20% discount code which will remain open for you to use until 31st December 2020.
We will still be releasing an E-Scape 2020 sampler CD full of exclusive music featuring the artists who would have performed at E-Scape 2020. All proceeds from the sampler CD and downloads will go to Mencap! Our plan is to release the CD in June 2020 and it will be included in the above mentioned offer.
Again, please just advise us if you would like to take up the CD offer instead of a refund of the ticket money and we will send you your 20% discount code to use when ordering.
These are very difficult times and we wish everyone good health and hopefully we will see you on the other side.
Sincere regards,
David Wright
